Fluxion Biosciences has developed the BioFlux 100 system to provide a complete, easy-to-use solution for studying cells and biofilms under flow conditions. The system includes an instrument with software control and replaceable, sterile multi-well plates (BioFlux Plates) that contain all fluidics. All reagents, including media, inoculant, and test compounds, are pre-loaded in the wells for long-term unattended operation.  Fluxion’s pneumatic fluid control design eliminates the need for cumbersome fluid-filled tubing. Precise shear rates are maintained by the system’s advanced electronic pressure control system, and temperature control of the fluidics is included. Each BioPlate is constructed with a cover-slip glass bottom to ensure optimal microscopic image quality.

   Simple to Use BioFilm Analysis System

The BioFlux system is a complete solution, with all components necessary to set up and run shear force experiments. A simple, intuitive graphical user interface allows multiple protocols to be established and retrieved easily.

   Fast and Flexible BioFilm Assays

The BioFlux system allows experiments to include shear stress changes, automatic cell/bacteria and media addition, automatic compound addition at specified time points, and simultaneous running of a control channel. Up to 4 individual experiments can be run simultaneously.

   Powerful Features

Online compound addition: Compounds are preloaded in separate wells and automatically added at specified time points and flow rates.
Automated Imaging:  BioFlux software initiates multi-wavelength image acquisition and storage at user-specified intervals.

   Sterile Fluidics

All fluid paths are contained within the fully disposable BioPlates, which are supplied fully sterilized- no more autoclaving of tubing, fittings, and flow chambers.
